• Jansen CHOW

    Born in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia in 1970, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Kuala Lumpur Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. In 1994, he received a scholarship to go to the Art Students League, the oldest art academy in the United States, and was trained by the greatest art school in the United States. Under the door of the watercolor master Mario Cooper. Influenced by the spirit of American contemporary art that emphasizes self-expression, avant-garde and dares to break through tradition, Jansen Chow’s works focus on originality, which combines the composition of expressionist geometric abstract grammar, romantic and intuitive color use, combined with acrylic The application of the medium, with its aesthetic style, is especially rare among watercolor artists.

     

    Jansen Chow is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS) and the National Watercolor Society (NWS). He received an art scholarship and studied at the Art Students League of New York, New York from 1994 to 1996, and was a student of Mario Cooper, a great American master in watercolor. Jansen has held 18 solo exhibition and has participant in more than 400 national and international watercolor exhibitions since 1992.

     

    He has won more than 60 national and international awards in watercolor, oil, printmaking, and photography since 1988, including 1st place 9 times in watercolor competitions in the United States, Canada, Turkey and Malaysia. Recently he is the Global Brand Ambassador of Daniel Smith.
