〘Creating The Infinite 〙—— Suzchiang Tan solo exhibition

Malaysian 🇲🇾abstract artist Mr.Tan Suzchiang’s first solo exhibition in Taiwan.

When we don’t understand abstract painting, it’s easy for us to ignore it and avoid it…thinking that it is just a random painting of mixed raw materials!
It’s not even easy to think deeply about it/or analyze its connotation and mystery!
The illusion of indifference or unfamiliarity seems disrespectful
But I still feel like I'm in a daze or out of body when I look at it? Sluggish or stupid... in front of the work. It is more like being led somewhere by your own memories, emotions, concepts, feelings, thoughts... to wander, dig holes/reshape/change/redefine...

Or one could say:
Are some scenes in your mind magnified for a moment?
Are some things going from clear to blurry? Some memories... have emotional warmth because of colors
Or even form a trajectory in the heart due to the subjective guidance of the mind?

The concrete expression of "abstract" includes form, color, space, trajectory... It can almost break away from the constraints of concrete painting and present another "world", coexisting with realism in the same universe. Often with this understanding, we gradually understand the interpretation of abstraction by the abstract master Mr. Zao Wou-Ki!

He said: The imagery and poetry in Chinese ink paintings are intertwined with each other: "I think physically, the essence of the two forms of artistic expression is the same. Whether it is swiping a brush on the canvas or using hands on paper. The words written on them are all expressions of the breath of life. They can reveal hidden meanings without the need for physical form, the hidden meanings of the universe... What I like most about poetry is the feeling of freedom that flows between the lines. I paint my life, but I also want to paint a space invisible to the eyes, a space of dreams."

Teacher Chen Shuqiang also chose abstract art, which most needs the foundation of connotation cultivation. This requires a lot of courage to manage life and the isolation and loneliness of artistic creation. There are many things that we cannot understand/see the results of, such as in the abstract field, but the freedom, spaciousness, and leisurely atmosphere we learned from Teacher Chen...he did it all.

Teacher Shu Qiang is about to reveal the mystery of how the choices and trade-offs of many creative themes or styles contain "freedom and vastness".
